Citibank appoints new head of Asian stock trading and co-head of stocks to be transferred to Hong Kong.

Recently, Citigroup appointed Robert Stewart as the Head of Asia Equity Trading and Co-Head of Equities, replacing Arnaud Leteissier who left earlier this year. According to an internal memo sent by Global Head of Equities Fater Belbachir, Stewart will be relocating from Singapore to Hong Kong to oversee stock trading operations in several Asian countries, including Japan, North Asia, Australia, and South Asia. A Citigroup spokesperson confirmed the contents of the memo. It is reported that Robert Stewart joined Citigroup in London in 2011 and has been based in Asia since 2017, most recently overseeing the stock derivatives trading business in the Asia-Pacific region.
